Summer Enrichment 2024

Summer camp for everyone!

The WonderKids Summer Enrichment Program gives youth space to be children, to explore, and be curious as they move into their futures as happy, healthy, kind humans.

The FREE 2024 Summer Outdoor Adventure Camp for children in grades K-6 will operate Monday through Friday from July 8 to August 9, 2024. Camp will be located on Craftsbury Common, in partnership with Sterling College and Craftsbury Schools. Applications for registration will open in May. Additional details coming soon!

Spring Session 2024

Here comes the Sun!

Join us for the Spring session of WonderKids: Solar.

As the sun rises higher in the sky, spring and warmer weather are right around the corner. This spring, WonderKids celebrates the lengthening days through science, art, mindfulness, and movement. On April 8th a special celebration of the total solar eclipse will bring us all together to witness this rare event that hasn’t happened in Vermont since 1932, supported by total solar eclipse observation kits donated by the ECHO Center. Students will be invited to submit a project from this session to a culminating exhibition. A year-end reception of student projects and a community picnic will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

Sun Crafts: On this day of crafts we will create as many sun-inspired works of art as possible, using paper mache, paint, clay, collage, simple stained glass, and more!

Spring Growth: How can the changing seasons encourage us to be more mindful and engage in positive habits? We will explore mindfulness exercises, yoga, and the basic things we need to be happy and healthy.

Favorite Things: Illustration and all the quotes, jokes, and poems you can create about your favorite things will be bound together into a book that each participant gets to take home at the end of the session.

Light and Shadows: Light and shadows go hand in hand: through photography, games, and a science kit from the ECHO Center, we will investigate the relationship between light and dark.
