The Rural Arts Collaborative is 501(c)3 nonprofit organization comprised of artists, community members, and businesses who work together to design, support, and deliver creative programs to youth and adults living in and visiting Hardwick, Greensboro, and Craftsbury, Vermont. Guided by core values of arts, recreation, technology, and sustainability, our programs provide experiences for all ages and abilities that spark joy, inspiration, connection, and excitement, contributing to a healthier, more vibrant Northeast Kingdom.

The Administrative Site Coordinator is the point person for operations of the camp. They collaborate with, delegate to, and lead Behavioral, Health and Safety, and Enrichment Site Coordinators, Counselors, and Jr Counselors to ensure the program runs smoothly and all safety and reporting requirements are met.

The Enrichment Coordinator works closely with the Enrichment Manager and the Summer Enrichment Experts to plan and prepare for all enrichment activities. The Enrichment Coordinator is the on-site point person responsible for all aspects of the enrichment program, and delegates tasks to the Experts, Counselors, and Jr. Counselors to ensure smooth operations.

Camp Counselors play a vital role in this magical experience. They lead a spirited team, guiding Jr. Counselors and campers alike on their adventures. Camp Counselors are responsible to keep their campers safe, active, and engaged. They need to lead their group in a schedule of activities and think on their feet when the schedule goes sideways. As a Camp Counselor, you'll leave a lasting impression on the kids, becoming a cherished part of their summer memories!

The Jr. Counselors will collaborate with the WonderKids Counselors, Activity Specialists, Coordinators, Managers, and the Executive Director to ensure all children in the program are safe and successful. Jr Counselors have the privilege of “doing life” with the campers, forming relationships based on trust and respect, and helping the campers to have the best experience possible. Jr Counselors should expect to work hard and be fully present and involved in the program. They will get dirty and wet and muddy and paint-y and be on their feet for hours at a time. Jr. Counselors will be tired at the end of the day, but they will also have the best opportunity to make an amazing impact on the kids in our program.

Reporting to the Afterschool Administrative Manager, this position serves the Management team and Afterschool sites through clear, open, frequent communication with school sports leaders, community and parent organizations, community activity organizers, and other stakeholders resulting in a comprehensive, equitable and well-organized calendar of diverse and enriching afterschool activities for students in grades K-8 in Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union. This calendar will include the WonderKids Afterschool Enrichment programming that we design and deliver each week in three afterschool sites.

WonderKids Afterschool is a program that works with schools and community members to help children achieve emotional resilience and engage their own imaginations. The WonderKids Afterschool Program gives youth space to be children, to explore, and be curious as they move into their futures as happy, healthy, kind humans.
The Administrative Site Coordinator will collaborate with the WonderKids Regional Management Team and the WonderKids Behavioral and Enrichment Site Coordinators to ensure reporting requirements and staffing requirements are met, and the program runs smoothly.
Duties include data entry, site and staff supervision, food service coordination, attendance, family communication, and more.

The Enrichment Site Coordinator works closely with the Regional Enrichment Manager to make improvements and modifications of the planned enrichment based on the staff and physical resources of the site. It is also their responsibility to prepare the site and the site staff to be able to lead the enrichment and engage the children. This includes instructing and training staff, and also teaching students.

Rural Arts Collaborative seeks dynamic and passionate Teaching Artists help advance our mission through delivering hands-on arts experiences to our segmented audiences. The ideal candidate will be an experienced artist and educator who is dedicated to fostering creativity and artistic expression in students of all ages. The Teaching Artist will design and deliver arts-based curriculum, or use predetermined lesson plans generated by Program Managers and Directors at Rural Arts Collaborative. Delivery formats may be for limited series workshops, ongoing contracted classes, or regular daily programming, delivered in various settings, including schools, community centers, and our organization's facilities. This role requires a commitment to both artistic excellence and educational impact, with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility.
