Join local artists and hosts Beth Meachem and Barbara Mutrux for a fabulous, free, fiber arts open-house event.
Many local experts on different fiber arts techniques will be on-site to demonstrate and share techniques on weaving, felting, spinning, knitting, carding, and rug hooking.
Participants will have an opportunity to talk to artisans, try out the various activities set up, and provide feedback on future programs that would interest them in the area of fiber arts.

Spinning
The craft of twisting fibers together into thread or yarn.
Weaving
The craft of forming fabric by interlacing threads on a loom.
Knitting
The craft which makes a garment, blanket, etc. by interlocking loops of wool or other yarn with knitting needles.
Needle Felting
The craft of using a barbed needle to combine fibers into a solid fabric.
Wet Felting
The craft of continually rubbing wool fibers together with mild soap and warm water to form a firm, felted object.
Rug Hooking
The craft which makes rugs by pulling loops of yarn or fabric through a stiff woven base such as burlap, linen, or rug warp.
