The notion that "everyone is an artist" stands at the center of a dynamic conversation in the upcoming lecture, "Outside in Vermont: We Are All Artists," presented by GRACE utilizing the captivating artwork from the GRACE Archive Collection. Guided by local artist and educator, Phillip Robertson, participants will embark on a journey to inquire into this idea. The lecture and following discussion serve as an open forum to challenge conventional beliefs about who can be considered an artist. Through an engaging discussion and presentation, attendees will delve into the diverse world of art, allowing for a robust and respectful debate about the boundaries of creativity.

This thought-provoking lecture will attempt to unfurl the tapestry of art terminologies, encompassing naive art, folk art, outsider art, and self-taught artists. Phillip Robertson's presentation provides not just a historical overview but also invites reflection on whether the notion of "everyone is an artist" is an inclusive truth or a subject open for discussion.
