Photography Series | Introduction to Portraiture

Learn about portrait photography in natural-light settings. We will discuss elements of strong photographs, approaching people as subjects, and some tips for successful portraits. We will practice outside using natural light. Part of the class will include discussing camera settings and technique for achieving well-lit and beautiful portraits.

This class is perfect for beginners or experienced photographers who want some company on their photo journeys. 

Equipment: Any camera is acceptable for this class, but a DSLR is ideal, or any camera on which the aperture can be adjusted. This class is appropriate for beginners, but some practice with the functionality of your camera is very helpful to get the most out of the workshop.

Tuition: $25

Youth Scholarship: Youth 18 and under can participate at a reduced scholarship rate if they elect to do so, thanks to a grant from Vermont Afterschool. Please select a rate at checkout ($25/$15/$0)
