Writing Poetry with Sean Prentiss

Two Thursdays in April
April 6th & 13th
5:30 PM - 7 PM
At GRACE in Hardwick

Do you love writing poetry? Do you want to learn how to write poetry? Either way, join published poet Sean Prentiss in spending two evenings learning techniques to improve your poetry. In class, we'll learn to sculpt images on the page, create narratives, and build a writing process. We'll also write and share poems in class.

Sean Prentiss (he/him) is the author of Finding Abbey: the Search for Edward Abbey and His Hidden Desert Grave, which won the National Outdoor Book Award, and Crosscut: Poems. He co-wrote two textbooks, Environmental and Nature Writing and Advanced Creative Nonfiction. Prentiss is co-editor of The Science of Story: The Brain Behind Creative Nonfiction. He and his family live on a small lake in northern Vermont, and he serves as an associate professor at Norwich University.
