The Artist
Lawrence Fogg
Lawrence Fogg, born in Pomfret, Vermont, in 1929, remained a devoted native Vermonter throughout his life. While later settling in Derby, Vermont, he embraced the roles of a father to ten children and a grandfather to twenty-nine. With a life rich in experience as a farmer and a versatile jack-of-all-trades, Mr. Fogg's artistic journey began with spiritual motivation after his wife's passing in the late 1990s. He found his creative outlet in painting, skillfully bringing scenes of Vermont's diverse landscapes and changing seasons to life on both slate and paper. Lawrence Fogg's art became a testament to his connection with his home state and the cathartic power of artistic expression.
