Saturday Creative Families Initiative; “Time Out”

The Rural Arts Collaborative is pleased to announce a new program for families and children entitled Creative Families that will begin December 10th and run through March 25th. This is a free program open to families in the community with children between the ages of 6 & 12. Parents are invited to network on the second floor of GRACE over tea and coffee while their children are engaged in creative activities on the first floor. Parents can come together to socialize, discuss special topics that they would like to explore or pursue their own creative explorations led by an instructor. A special play area will be set up where younger siblings can play. The program will take place on Saturday mornings 10am-11:30am. Guest artists have been invited to join us on specific Saturdays for some special activities. While not required we encourage pre-registering but drop-ins are always welcome.

This Week’s Activity: Kids will join teaching artist Soloman Lew will work with kids to build musical instruments using recycled materials to make a variety of sounds. Parents will connect upstairs over coffee and tea with a networking group led by teaching artist Gillian D’Acierno.
