Beeswax Candles and Firestarters

Join us for this Creative Cafe featuring all things hot wax. Using locally sourced beeswax, participants will learn how to make a pair of beeswax tapers, how to pour hot wax safely to make a candle in a recycled container and how to use leftover wax or candle ends to make festive firestarters for woodstoves and campfires. Enjoy a hot cup of tea or BYOB and connect with neighbors and friends over this fun activity. 

Artist Bio: Lisa Wolfgang (she/her) is a queer, interdisciplinary artist who has been living in Vermont since 2016. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Expanded Media from Alfred University and holds a Certificate in Small Business Management from Northern Vermont University. Lisa has a variety of skills from her background in organic agriculture, outdoor education, arts education, and graphic design. Lisa is also a songwriter and has played for small audiences in 14 states. Lisa is excited to share her love of beeswax and candle making with the GRACE community.
