Join us in celebrating spring and highlighting positive mental health activities at our Open House. We open the Craftsbury Greenspace for exploration and picnicking, and offer a Yellow Tulip Woodland Fairy walk for kids of all ages. Bring a picnic with you to enjoy in the Greenspace after you make your lantern. Cookies and tea provided.

Yellow Tulip Fairy Lantern Activity

Keep your eyes open as you explore the nature trails; if you find a fairy and can catch it, bring it back to the sugar house. Put it in a fairy lantern to take home. These special fairies are Yellow Tulip Fairies. They help us remember the things that make us feel good and give us hope. The lanterns can be lit in remembrance of the past, or hope for the future.

What is the Yellow Tulip Project (YTP)?

Rural Arts Collaborative is partnering with the Craftsbury Mental Health Resources Group to host creative activities that promote mental health, and to highlight the important issues around youth mental health. Together, we are raising awareness of the Yellow Tulip Project (YTP), a youth movement to squash the stigma around mental health - one tulip at a time. You can learn more about YTP on their website.

What is the Community Greenspace?

WonderArts is dedicated to providing our communities with opportunities to explore, recreate, and connect with our environment. In 2016, WonderArts received a generous donation of a two-acre property in Craftsbury Village. With the help of numerous community partners and volunteers, we revitalized this property to provide a public place for creativity, education, exploration, and recreation. The Greenspace features a network of trails, a bike repair station, a small stream, an amphitheater, a nature center, a wildlife observation deck, a pond, wetlands, an upland meadow, and a beautiful stone labyrinth. The Community Greenspace is located at 321 S. Craftsbury Rd., Craftsbury, VT.
