Relax, unwind, and reconnect with the community at this fun Creative Café! Join instructor Wolf Whitney to learn about the process and techniques utilized in Wood Burning (Pyrography). Find out how fun it is to create an image by burning onto a wooden surface. Folks will be given the opportunity to follow a design or go rouge and create something completely original. Enjoy a hot cup of tea or BYOB to this event!

Artist Bio: Wolf Whitney (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary contemporary artist and sculptor. Her work focuses heavily on the influences of ritual and the natural world.

After leaving active duty in the U.S. Army she moved to Vermont to pursue a simple life. Little did she know that this move would inspire her to start creating art. Surrounded by rolling fields and granite mountains, Wolf became enamored with the idea of creating by destroying. The duality of creation and her twin destruction. Sculpture in any material is simply the removal of pieces of raw material to recreate something beautiful. This is also true of her wood-burning art, using fire and heat to draw on wood.
