Photography Series: Portraits of Landscape

Explore a natural area to tell a story of the place. In this class, we’ll discuss observation techniques in the natural landscape, review techniques like framing and composition, and take photos as we walk a nature trail. We will briefly cover some camera operation features like focus, exposure, and zoom, but camera function is not the focus of the class. 

Great for a budding beginner or an experienced photographer who wants to talk photography with other excited image-makers. Our photo series combines elements of great photography with time and inspiration to practice. Check our calendar for more.

Equipment: Any camera is acceptable for this class, but a DSLR is ideal, or any camera on which the aperture can be adjusted. This class is appropriate for beginners, but some practice with the functionality of your camera is very helpful to get the most out of the workshop.

Tuition: $25

Youth Scholarship: Youth 18 and under can participate at a reduced scholarship rate if they elect to do so, thanks to a grant from Vermont Afterschool. Please select a rate at checkout ($25/$15/$0)
